As of the 01^st April 2025 , door supervisors and security guards in the UK will need to complete refresher training to renew their SIA (Security Industry Authority) licences. This new requirement is part of the SIA’s efforts to ensure security professionals have up-to-date skills and knowledge to maintain public safety. The refresher training will focus on key safety-critical skills, with an emphasis on practical application and real-world scenarios.
